Chapter 6.

 Comment by Adjutant Rich Sestili

I have received too many calls from our veterans about the comments made by President Obama, to simply put aside our thoughts on this.
Never in the history of the United States has any other president ever made a negative comment about Christ.

I grew up in a very Christian–Jewish neighborhood. We had Catholics, Protestants ,and Greek Orthodox, I am told all of us were praying to the same God at the same time. Our Jewish friends also pray to a kind and forgiving Supreme Being.
That is a disclaimer because of what I feel pertains to the president’s comments at the national Prayer Breakfast last week about the “atrocities committed in the name of Christ.” As a 501 c 4 a we are not allowed to have a political side, however, the president speaking on religion is not an authority. Therefore, it is not political and we can respond without retaliation to our 501 c 4 a status.

In WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam, and all other wars, men and women would go to mass first, receive communion, and then go into battle. They were never told that they had to kill the enemy in the name of Christ. They were there to defend the freedom of the innocent.
Our chaplain, Robert Doll, has a Masters degree in theology and a Master’s degree in education and has summed it up quite succinctly.

From chaplain Robert Doll       Here is what no one seems to understand.

First, Islam was never a religion “hijacked.” Islam was born in violence and advocates violence. There are only two kinds of people according to Islam, Muslims and Kaffirs. Kaffirs are all those who are not obedient to Allah and are deserving of earthly and eternal death.

Second, anyone who kills in the Name of Christ is no Christian. Christians, by definition, are all those trusting in Christ’s death to pay for their sins and saved by His grace. Christ gave His life to provide salvation and eternal life for those who trust Him. Christianity was born in sacrifice and advocates trust in God, not the earthly death of unbelievers. Granted, unbelievers will suffer eternal punishment, but only because they refuse to accept God’s offer of His free gift of salvation.

Third, the only known instance of Christians murdering unbelievers was Spanish conquistadors murdering natives in the New World. But one must realize that Spain itself was ruled by Muslims for centuries. Does it not follow that these so-called Christians learned this from their conquerors and occupiers?

Obama displayed his own personal ignorance of true Christianity, exposed that he too is an unbeliever, and announced his ignorance of historical fact in his ill-conceived statements. What he further doesn’t understand is that he too can be forgiven by the blood of Christ, but is only eligible for death from the followers of Allah.
